Helping Out Donations, Community Opportunities and More!

Liberty First Credit Union is dedicated to giving back to our communities in the form of sponsorships, monetary donations and prize or item contributions. If you have an event you wish to be considered for sponsorship, please read the following guidelines and submit your request to the credit union by using our convenient donation request form.

Guidelines

In order to be eligible for a sponsorship or donation, your request must meet the following criteria:

  • Submit your application at least 30 days prior to your event using the donation request form below.
  • Limit of one donation per organization per year.

Unfortunately, we do not fund the following:

  • Activities, groups or events not in a Liberty First branch community
  • Administrative expenses or expenses such as conference and travel
  • Projects whose primary purpose is religious, legislative or political

All sponsorship requests will be reviewed at the end of each month and must be submitted using the online form.

Submit Your Donation Request

Just as important as donating money and items is donating our time to the community. In 2018 employees of Liberty First have donated over 1,400 hours to different groups and organizations throughout the communities we serve. Whether as a group or on an individual basis, our employees take pride in giving back to the communities that have given them so much.

Gifts of Love – This program through City Impact has been providing Christmas with dignity to families-in-need for over 20 years. We were honored to help them prepare for their shopping day by helping set up the store and making decorations.

People’s City Mission – We love helping serve the guests of People’s City Mission multiple times a year. People’s City Mission was started in 1907 and is Lincoln’s only shelter for men, women and children.

Boo at the Zoo – This event is hosted by the Lincoln Children’s Zoo and is Lincoln’s largest trick-or-treat event. Liberty First is proud to be one of nearly 40 booths handing out candy and more. All the money raised supports the Zoo and care for the animals.

Food Bank of Lincoln – We love doing our small part in alleviating hunger in Southeast Nebraska by giving our time to collect food for the Food Bank at the Capital City RibFest event.
